What is Diversity Management?
|
AboutThe concept of managing diversity is relatively recent and has not yet been integrated into the education and training of Human Resource Managers or Worker Representatives. A key strategy in promoting a diverse workforce is to continue educating and training those in a position to influence the recruitment and retention policies of employers. DiManT is a 24 month pilot project being undertaken by partners from Ireland, Greece, the Netherlands and Poland. It targets the development of practices to facilitate access to employment for people most disadvantaged in the labour market. Project Aims:
The toolkit will address the needs of minorities in gaining access to employment by training people who either directly or indirectly facilitate access to employment. The project will train significant stakeholders who are responsible for the integration of marginalised groups. These stakeholders include: Human Resource Managers, Trade Unions and Policy Makers in the workplace. Project Partners |
